  The elimination and improvement of the two major defects of longitudinal burr and sickle bending mainly focus on the longitudinal cutting blade and its auxiliary equipment. We can check and control some key parameters.

  Situation: After installing the blade, measure the clearance at different angles of the same cutting edge. Blade clearance is measured every 90°. The structure shows that the difference between the four measuring points is 0.12mm.

  Conclusion: The inconsistent blade clearance will not only affect the stress distribution of the blade during shearing, but also affect the long-term stability of the blade. During the shearing process, the cutting edge is in the state of spade bending, which will not only produce burrs and sickles bending, but also produce edge waves when it is serious.

  Cause analysis: The reasons for inaccurate positioning are as follows:

  1. The working face of the longitudinal shear gasket is damaged

  The parallel tolerance of both ends of the longitudinal shear gasket is plus or minus 0.002mm. The convex spot error that can be detected by the naked eye is greater than 0.1mm. If there is an ordinary bump on the gasket, basically once there is a bump, the accuracy cannot be guaranteed, which directly affects the accuracy and quality of the product after shearing.

  The main cause of gasket damage is operation and maintenance. For example, workers do not develop the habit of careful handling, or may fall or be injured during lifting or handling.

  In addition, the material and surface hardness of the gasket are also very important. The reason why some small processing plants cannot achieve cutting accuracy is that they save costs where they should not. This makes it easy for even minor collisions to lead to such problems, which requires special attention when selecting and purchasing spacer materials.
